Update on 2012 Hungarian Quadrathlon

The organisers of the long distance August 26th Quadrathlon in Tihany, Balaton, have struggled to find enough sponsorship and gain the official permissions to run the event as a full WQF event. The organisers had begun plans to run it as a full World Cup race and have expressed their disappointment in these changes. Amended details of this race will be published under www.seakayaking.hu shortly. The WQF regrets it being removed from the World Cup calendar, but are nevertheless happy that there is a Quadrathlon event in Hungary...

Ibiza Quadrathlon opens the 2012 season

The first weekend of May saw the 2012 Quadrathlon season opening World Cup race on the Spanish Island of Ibiza. The race marked 25 years from Ibiza’s first Quadrathlon. The middle distance event was led by Spaniard Miquel Armengol Roca over the 1.5KM swim and 7KM kayak disciplines.
