Sprint World Championship – All Action

Expectations were high this year for the Quadrathlon Sprint World Championship and the spectators were not disappointed with an exciting race right to the finish. This year’s event was the first to be held at Komárno, after the previous six Slovakian quadrathlons held in Samorin. There was much in common between the two venues, high temperatures and a small lake (so wet suits were not allowed) and a flat fast bike route on an elevated and exposed dyke...

Exciting European Championship at the Kober

A quadrathlon in the environs of Koberbachtal has been held five times before, but this year was different: for the first time, it was to be an international competition and the European Quadrathlon championship. Another difference was that this year it was a middle-distance and not the usual sprint course. As a consequence, many of the loved, or loathed, off-road sections were not part of the course...

Cancellation of Oslo Quadrathlon

This year’s quadrathlon in Oslo will not be held this year. The reason for this is that the organizer, Katarina Liptakova, is expecting her child later this year and has unfortunately not been able to find a substitute organizer. She hopes to be able to run a quadrathlon again in 2018.
