Calacuccia;This race atop France's Island in the Mediterranian is a classic country-style competition. All the towns' folks get involved; even the Mayor is the Race Director. The streets are closed and the course flows through almost everybody's property… Well, that is an exaggeration, but the swim and kayak portion is on the village water reservoir, and the cycling and running legs run all through the town and several farmers' fields. Be very careful to avoid the wild boar on the road!
